My name is [redacted] and I work as a producer for the French television France [redacted]. I am writing because our crew is coming to Miami next week to do a story on the real estate situation there and we wanted to illustrate this by interviewing someone who leaves in a almost empty building. I know it is something we have already seen it a lot on American media, but to a French audience, a situation like this is quite hard to comprehend and quite frankly, never heard of. Anyway, I am writing you to see if you know anyone in that situation who would be willing to speak with us.
I lived in Paris for a awhile. French, in my opinion, are the most disgusting people I have ever met. Tell these Frenchy a-holes to take a hike. Stay away from the US, since you hate us so much. Oh and for you naive Americans who never set foot in France, you don’t know what I’m talking about. Go there to see for yourselves, to experience rudeness and hatred like you never felt before. Go ahead, be my guest and come back to tell us all about it.
I’ve spent a lot of time in France. I disagree. I was treated very well there, even though I hardly speak the language. I have several french friends (who live in Miami) who are some of the kinder, more fun-loving people I know.
I guess your experience was different. However, just a thought — Maybe it’s you.
I only argue with people who actually speak the language and lived there. American tourists (or Realtors) don’t have a clue of what French are saying right next to them, as I witnessed many times while living in Paris to attend Sorbonne. French expats living in Miami aren’t relevant because they’re here to escape their own kind and idiotic socialism. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be wise for them to be treating Americans like trash in their own homeland, just like they do in France. I was never treated like that in other European countries, and this isn’t about me only, it’s about many other people I know. I tell you what, go learn French and live there for more than a year, and then come back. Maybe it’s you.

In the seventies people with too much wealth got the bright idea that an economy based on finance, insurance and real estate was a good idea. Who needs to make or build anything to create wealth? After all money can just make more money so who needs a workforce. How many major cities in the US are in ruins now? Off the top of my head I can name Gary, Detroit, Youngstown, Baltimore and New Orleans. I know there’s others too.
The collapse of the USA reminds me of the collapse of the USSR in a way. All productive investment freezing up, nothing but austerity and military spending to offer the population and a vicious criminal oligarchy stealing everything they can get their hands on. Oh, wait…its the same everywhere.
